Ride Outline
Welcome! We’ll be Horse Riding and Camping amongst the sweet alpine grasses and cool creeks of the Yaouk high plains, attending the Adaminaby Picnic Races and catching up for a lazy Sunday Woolshed Lunch and Swim.
Arrive
Wednesday evening 20th November for Drinks, Dinner and the Night at Tharwa Valley Forge; or, if you’re arriving later…hopefully by 10am Thursday morning 21st November in Yaouk, Snowy Mountains.
Thursday AM Start
Thursday morning 21st November – Murrumbidgee River Bridge, Yaouk, Snowy Mountains.
Thursday / Friday Ride
Thursday and Friday Horse Riding around Yaouk, including ~ Yaouk Peak, Sam’s Creek, Thunderbird Ranch, Prancing Pony Ranch, Circuit’s Hut, Tantangara Reservoir (part of Snowy 2.0) and Bolaro Station, then Camping out from a stunning campsite under dark skies, firelight and the stars.
Saturday Ride & PM Races
Saturday morning 23rd November ride to the Adaminaby Picnic Races, return ride to Yaouk (for those who want to), then to the Snow Goose for Drinks and Dinner with Saturday night out at the Woolshed on Lake Eucumbene.
Sunday Lunch & Home
Refreshing lake Swim and a high noon Sunday Lunch on 24th November at the Woolshed, then home to Sydney etc. You’re welcome to stay the Sunday night out in Yaouk if you prefer to make the run home Monday morning too.
